Camas Day 2011

Click Camas Day for details of the 2011 Camas Day that happened on Saturday April 30, 2011. This is the 20th year that we have held this event. We had a varied slate of popular walks. Of course, Beacon Hill Park is enjoyable to visit every day of the year.

Wildflowers Signs in Beacon Hill Park

There are 3 large wildflower signs created by the Friends of Beacon Hill Park in the area along Circle Drive between the Petting Zoo and the Totem Pole. You can use the signs to help you learn about the flowers that are currently blooming in the meadow.

Birds of Beacon Hill Park

To check out what birds you might see in Beacon Hill Park, we have updated the bird check list. This covers two periods of the year when we do an inventory of the birds. Let's hear from you about other birds when you see them in Beacon Hill Park or on the surrounding waterfront. Click here for details. If you are interested in the birds of nearby Clover Point, clear here for a copy of the article from the April 2007 FBHP Newsletter.
